Músico profissional
há 8 anos, Carlos Cresio Junior aka Jr Dread vem para quebrar
barreiras e injetar sangue novo no cenário nacional da música
com seu estilo impar e original, sempre propagando vibrações
positivas em suas apresentações. A frente do grupo Reggae
Style, Jr Dread lançou o disco "Em Meio Ao Caos" (Indie Recs)
com músicas e letras de sua própria autoria, alcançando um
número considerável de vendas. O disco impulsionou o grupo a
fazer muitas apresentações pelo Brasil, quase sempre abrindo
os shows da Tribo de Jah através da produtora Central Reggae,
de Fauzy Beydoun. Após 6 anos a frente da banda Reggae Style,
Jr Dread começa a ampliar seus trabalhos paralelos fazendo
parte da Família 7 Velas, fazendo apresentações como MC de dub
e ragga. Em 2005 Jr Dread participou da música "Exército do
Rap" de Helião & Negra Li, vencedora do prêmio de melhor video
de hiphop da MTV.. Em 2006 grava uma participação no disco do
rapper Pixote e na mixtape uptown skank do dj Dubstrong
enquanto se prepara pra lançar seu disco ainda em fase de
produção que promete abalar as estruturas da babylon!!! JUNIOR
DREAD BIO Left the ghettos of the North Side in São Paulo,
Carlos Cresio aka Junior Dread, appeared in 1998 in the
Brazilian reggae scene, recording with the band Reggae Style
the album "Em Meio Ao Caos", launched in 2000 for Brazilian
label Indie Records, with influences of the chorales gospel,
since the beginning of its career, assimilated to reggae one
taken rhythmic hipnotic with its voice, adding this to
Jamaican groove of the rasta chant, your voice is only in
Brazilian reggae, counting on influences of Jamaican singers
like Hugh Mundell, Jacob Miller, Don Carlos, Barrington Levi,
Sizzla, etc... Together with the Band Reggae Style, JR. Dread
played in the main capitals of the country like as Salvador,
Fortaleza, Natal, Curitiba, Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro,
Belo Horizonte, etc. etc. The Crew 7 Velas, is one of the
parallel projects of the musician, the group is one of the
pioneers of ragamuffin in Brazil, counting on the
participation of toasters and mc's like as Funky Buia (Z'Africa
Brazil), Jimmy Luv, Arcanjo, amongst other musicians. Always
exploring new routes and trends, JR. Dread currently works
with the Selectah and Producer Andrea Barcelona (Italy),
producing exclusive musics and riddins to the Sound System
Lions Dub Máster (LDM). The pair this producing a series of
singles exclusive for the Europe, the source is the Stepper (a
reggae with one bumbo trimmed, remembering one drop of wailers),
is the base of the production that added to the English/patois
of JR. Dread if becomes a hard groove and hipnotizante rhythm,
bringing in the letters all the vibration rastafari.
